Antique Writing slope military Camphor Wood Victorian 1875 Great Condition

rare and beautifully preserved antique campaign-style writing slope, made in Shanghai, China in 1905 by Chinese craftsmen. Constructed from aromatic camphor wood, this piece features striking natural grain patterns, brass corner mounts, and an engraved inscription on the interior drawer base.

The writing surface opens to reveal a full leather-lined writing area with a tiered internal compartment for paper, pens, and inkwells. Several small drawers and sections are neatly fitted within, and a pull-out drawer below provides additional storage.

The interior inscription reads:

“Made of Camphor Wood by Chinamen at Shanghai China 1875.”
